Object embedding is NOT available on the Mac plattform - more precisely not in all applications.

You will have to use the "Paste Special…" or "Import…" menu commands to include Word-written documents. The result will be reformatted accouring to the Notes Editor possibilities.

BTW: Using embedded objects in Mails is no good idea - the result would be unreadable on many plattforms and configurations.
